Returning to this after seeing the recent Rig Rundown in 2024 for Wolfmother. It’s just depressing…it’s just the one guy. He had no amps, a cheap Helix, high as hell, looks depressed, has fill in players and just looks sad.

Wolfmother aren't bad. They have some pretty dope jams. If you love a band and love music and you're writing songs you're gonna have your influences, ya know? For instance didn't Faith No More try to rip off Chili Peppers' jams, instigating a fued between Patton and Anthony Kiedis? I've only heard three Faith No More songs; one was a Lionel Richie cover (how original?) one I could see why Anthony Kiedis said he ripped them off and another that was a pretty dope jam except that the singer wasn't great. Just sayin'.

Patton always struck me as one of those guys who, like henry rollins, are deeply troubled by the fact that there are people in this world who like to have fun, mind their own business, and enjoy their life.

I can listen to Wolfmother’s first album from beginning to end without finding a song I dislike. I can’t get 10 seconds into something made by this nerd without turning it off. Different strokes, I suppose.
